TOCCOA RIVER FLY FISHING REPORT

Spring is finally upon us and the river conditions are looking great with rain here and there keeping the fish happy. The flows have been pretty consistent over the past month with normal releases from the dam. The fishing has been good and should only improve from now through summer with the stockings the river has started to receive. Our go to setup here lately have been dry dropper rigs with the clearer water. Usually an elk hair caddis of some sort up top with a small pheasant tail or stone fly dropper. We have been noticing some march brown mayflies also pouring off on late sunny afternoons. We are pretty much finding fish everywhere on both the Tammen to Curtis and Curtis to Horseshoe section. We are also still picking up and moving nice fish on our high water floats also. Give me a shout for more info.
